The cultural significance of the Baltic Sea region

The Baltic Sea region has always been a historically and economically important cultural area. Especially the still young Baltic countries, but also in Poland or Scandinavia are currently the scene of interesting, innovative technical developments - I saw that myself during my visit to Latvia last year.

Time to think about how you can network these creative energies and thus use them better together. With the Network Digital Baltic Space we would like to combine the challenges and opportunities of media change with a cross-border strengthening and development of social entrepreneurship in the Baltic Sea region.

Digital Baltic Space initiates a platform for networking social and digital actors from the countries bordering the Baltic Sea. Addressed are social entrepreneurs, Startups, non-profit civil society organizations and government organizations.

Objective it is to establish a dialogue about challenges and solution strategies for dealing with the media change, to exchange experiences and to enable better networking of the actors.

Unconferences, scholarships and study trips

Together with our partners crossborder factory, twingly, deskmag and ikosom we would like to develop projects in the coming months - and we are looking for further interested parties and supporters.

Up to now, we are proposing a digital communication platform, for example, to stimulate regional co-operation with the implementation of open-space / barcamp, or to award coworking scholarships, as well as to study trips.
