Every second wants to change jobs

Compared to the previous year, the willingness of the young professionals to change has somewhat declined. In the current survey about half of the junior staff is interested in changing the employer over the next two years.

And which sectors and companies are ahead? The automotive industry has been the most attractive for young professionals for years Industry. Audi, BMW and Porsche are also ahead in the current survey among both economists and engineers.

Among the engineers, Volkswagen was able to move up to fourth place and remains in fifth place among economists. Daimler / Mercedes-Benz ranks sixth among engineers and seventh among economists, both unchanged from the previous year. Financial institutions and energy utilities are still struggling for prestige

Banks and insurance companies are still struggling to score points among the young professionals. As in the previous year, no financial institution could place itself in the Top 10 of the young professionals with an economic science background. Deutsche Bank, 2010 and 2011 are still among the top 10 companies, 2014 is ranked 21, slipping six positions. The European Central Bank on 29 and the Deutsche Bundesbank in 39 also lost their appeal compared to the previous year.

The energy supply companies have also continued the negative trend in recent years and have been attracted by economists as well as by engineers. With the economists, none of the energy suppliers in the Top 50 managed and also with the young engineers E.ON had to say goodbye to the top 30 and is now at 11 after a loss of 36 positions. Even more violent is the loss at RWE, which loses 44 positions and is no longer represented in the Top 50.
