I still remember my visit to the 25hours Hotel in Zurich West. There I came across a funny one Marketing-Idea, which on closer inspection isn't all that funny: Conference documents with 10 sayings were spread out on the tables, which suggested various activities, how to more or less spend the time in a meeting useful brings around.

Some tips are obvious, others are not meant very seriously and still others are simply idiotic - so supposedly funnier to find them on the tables of a conference hotel.

10 fun tips to kill time in the meeting

  4. After all, this is efficient: "Pretend you're listening, but plan your wardrobe for the coming week."
  5. And this? Not to be taken seriously, but could be funny: "Pretend you get an important call from Greenpeace."
  6. The most sensible tip ever: "If you shut up, the meeting will be over faster."
  7. Not a surprise here either, but at least creative: “Kritzle, very old-fashion, on one sheet.”
  8. This is sexist and apparently assumes that most of the meeting participants are men: "Dreams of the last 10 Playboy covers."
  9. You shouldn't do this here: "Send stupid SMS to randomly selected contacts on your mobile phone."
  10. However, the last tip can be useful: "Practice isometric toe exercises under the table."
