The all2gethernow eV invites together with ikosom - Institute for Communication in social media for the crowdfunding special with crowdfunding circuit training, in which I will also be providing advice.
As part of the #a2n_werkstatt, musicians can find out in panels and workshops over the course of a day how crowdfunding for music projects can be designed and what points they can gain from a successful one Implementation their own campaign.
The focus of the day is the crowdfunding circuit training: At eight different information stations, experts advise interested artists individually on topics such as project ideas and strategies, budget planning, bonuses and consideration or accompanying PR and social mediaMeasures.

But what I like about the Consulting generally noticed: Many artists still view social media with skepticism. It offers many artists excellent opportunities for self-marketing, as this video example shows. What are the reasons?
Typical quotes that we heard during the consultation were: "I find it difficult to publish individual pieces of music for free", "We don't want our fans to spam with private information about us" or "We have a rather distant relationship to our fans ”.
This sounds like a personal attitude, which can not be shaken. But if the statements are now analyzed more precisely, then the reasons lie deeper.
On the one hand, the music industry is traditionally strictly hierarchical: on the top are the plate labels, which still pick out the raisins. Below the artists, who are in part even quite sour on the record label.
Nevertheless, this hierarchy is apparently so deeply rooted in the minds that many do not have it at all Sinn comes that you could try it on your own.
Even artists who, by their own admission, no longer want to have anything to do with record labels, apparently still have an ulterior motive Headthat at some point they knock on your door and help you to stardom, which regularly happens with the same probability as winning the lottery.
And artists have another Problem: Since many of them tend to be more introverted, they find it difficult to get close to their fans as people.
The fact that in the future it will be more and more important to build a community that supports one and that this community wants to touch an artist, as Mario Putzar put it so beautifully - that is still alien to many.
However, there is also positive Examples like the all-rounder Rahel Kraska, who does everything herself: lyrics, music and Marketing. And she always has her work with her on the iPad – the best business card.

Plus the artist confident: "Since the o2 arena is not booking me at the moment, I've made my virtual stage myself." And even when she performs, she only needs a projector for the perfect performance.
You can hardly do it better as a budding artist - keep it up!
But with the circle training not only the winning projects are advised, but all interested musicians. Passing by is worthwhile. Because crowdfunding is not a self-run with guaranteed success.

In the morning we want to give a general introduction to the topic of crowdfunding for music projects in a series of workshops and discussions...
