Against this background and at the special request of its members, degefest, the German trade association for the congress and seminar industry, is devoting itself to the topic of sustainability and the associated effects on our event industry at this year's symposium. How can sustainability in our Companys integrated and systematically managed? How does a company sustained and sustainable?

Venues today have far more than one area of ​​responsibility to manage. It is not only political actors who are calling on companies to protect our environment, the guests of the event venues are also increasingly expecting this. This means that our event venues have to act. Because if you don't focus on sustainable management these days, you lose fast connecting to the competition. But what does sustainability actually mean and how is it defined whether a company operates sustainably or not? Reason enough for the degefest trade association to deal more intensively with these important topics, which also affect countless degefest members, at the trade days. “The events industry is one of the most important economic sectors in Germany. In order for this to remain so, we must make our contribution to sustainable management. The degefest trend analyzes have now firmly established themselves as an economic barometer in the industry and are constantly being further developed. For this purpose, the catalog of questions is updated annually with current issues. The afternoon of the second day is dedicated to different workshop topics. Christian Oblasser and Martina Riediger from triasconsulting, Berlin address the topic of "stakeholder management in the context of sustainability".
