What are the digital misfits?

Digital Misfits are people who deal with the Status Quo not satisfied who want to actively shape the future of work and society. It's people like Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg who are the digital misfits Welt have changed. It's the ones with the innovative ones ideas, the IT-Talents that each Companys desperately looking for the digital natives and the lateral thinkers of all generations and those people who are looking for a space for new ideas.

The Digital Misfits Festival gives these digital talents a platform to make themselves heard and create space for collaboration. At the same time, we help companies to understand these talents, to find them and to attract them in the long term. We clarify and raise awareness that digital misfits are of the greatest Significance are for the digital future. And the current situation shows that this mission is more important than ever.

The goal of the initiative: Bring talent and HR together

The Digital Misfits initiative was founded at the end of 2017 by Dennis Schenkel and Hendric Mostert. In the meantime, however, behind Digital Misfits there is a community of enthusiastic people who Working world and want to shape the society of the future.

In terms of content, the community is driven by approx. 15 voluntary misfits from all over Germany, which make real-life events as well as content-related contributions and thus provide a basis for mutual exchange. With Digital Misfits we want to offer a platform where every committed person can get involved.

This is how we supported the digital misfits

the coronaCrisis unfortunately came right during the advance sale for the Digital Misfits Festival 2020. The relatively cheap standard tickets (Misfits Tickets) should be subsidized in particular by the more expensive corporate tickets. However, since most companies have frozen their budgets, no tickets have been sold and the 2020 festival cannot take place as planned. Unfortunately, despite the cancellation, massive Costs for the location in the amount of approx. 20.000 €, which is now no longer offset by any income. These costs bring the digital misfits dangerously close to bankruptcy, which means that they can no longer sustain the community.

But the initiative would not be digital and certainly not misfits if it did not make the best of the situation! And so at least one virtual festival will take place on June 9, 2020. And that's exactly what we have on Startnext supported. And that's exactly why we are giving away three tickets - among all buyers and reviewers of one of our over 200 books.

This is how you can win a ticket

And this is how you take part in the competition. If you want to win a ticket, you have the following options:

  1. Buy a book, for example at berufebilder.de/ amazon / or berufebilder.de/publishing company/
  2. To participate in the competition, give us the registration code, which you can find in the final part of the book.
  3. Of course, all previous participants can also take part in the competition, just write us one eMail.
  4. Alternatively, book buyers can write a review on Amazon and send us the link.
  5. On request, we can also provide the books for a review free of charge.
