Description
My new e-book “Career planning, Consulting and Coaching”Has been released that can be downloaded for free from Bookbone. The book is about how to find the right career planning in the jungle of offers - from the free employment agency to help for self-help to private career planning and coaching.
How career advice helps
Standard career planning information, such as that found in magazines, in Internet or find in books, often only give initial suggestions, like we do successfully implement our very individual ideas of success. Everything else we have to find out for ourselves.
But the selection of possibilities is unmanageable and sometimes lets us not see the forest for the trees:
- In which area do I want to work?
- Are my interests relevant to the industry?
- Can I meet the requirements made in the job?
- Should I accept the new, interesting job offer or still stay with my old, safe job?
- What further training helps me to develop my professional career?
- Does a (second) degree study improve my chances in the job market?
- How do I find my Traumberuf? What are the risks of self-employment?

The BBC on the business model of Bookboon
E-books are on the rise - as evidenced by the Danish e-book publisher Bookboon, which is portrayed here by the BBC. But how does the collaboration with Bookboon actually work and why as a reader can you download my texts for free?
I had long been looking for a simple and workable Solution tried to make our texts available to my readers as e-books. Compared to blogs, e-books have the great advantage that you can also read them offline on your cell phone.
E-books cost time and money
The disadvantage, however, is that they are a lot of work: The texts do not just have to be put into a coherent text form, but also formatted and layouted.
This, in turn, causes a great deal of work and Costs. And in order to bring that in, I would have had to offer the e-books again for a fee. That in turn would require an even greater effort Technology caused:
Cost use Bill
For example, the installation of a legally secure Online-Shops with a data protection-compliant payment system and a download server. And at that point, at the latest, things became critical. So no e-books for my readers?
A partner was needed. And that was Bookboon. Bookboon.com is a subsidiary of Ventus Publishing, based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Ventus Publishing's focus has been since its Foundation 1988 the publication of educational reference books for students and business people.
Free download as an additional service
Since 2005 that sets Companys with bookboon.com exclusively on free ebooks. Readers need to provide a few dates for download. The whole thing is financed by a small advertisement in the book. As a result, I also earn a few euros as an author for compiling and writing the texts.
But I have no further effort with it and you as a reader can now download my texts for free. And not only mine: Bookboon.com is active worldwide and offers a selection of 1000 e-books that users can download directly from the website.
The business model
The publisher currently records 10 million downloads annually. Its current headquarters has bookboon.com in London with additional offices in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Amsterdam and Munich.
