1. Business in the best Hamburg location: Lindner Hotel am Michel
The Hamburg Linder Hotel am Michel impresses with its central location in the economic and tourist heart of the city. But that's by no means his only highlight.
Business hotel with feel-good charm
The Linder Hotel am Michel has the perfect location right in the city center for both business travelers and tourists. Jungfernstig, Speicherstadt and the harbor are within walking distance and the next bus stop, S-Bahn and the lively Großneumarkt with a variety of cafes, pubs and restaurants are only a few minutes' walk away.
Even if the hotel is more of a classic business hotel at first glance, it exudes a lot of feel-good charm. There are the 259 dignified and luxuriously furnished rooms and 7 suites that leave nothing to be desired: From the comfortable and extra-long beds to the excellent sound insulation and the blackout curtains to the air conditioning that can be switched off and a kettle with tea bags. The bathrooms even have an infrared heat lamp.
Perfect meetings and fitness with a view
There is the spacious fitness and wellness area with a terrace on the 7th floor with two saunas and a beautiful relaxation area that offers a wonderful panorama and sunset views. There is the excellent breakfast with wholesome bread, fresh fruit and other extremely tasty and healthy ingredients.
And there are the 7 event rooms between 30 and 210 sqm in size, some of which have a fantastic view over the city and have a total capacity of 280 people. WLAN is available free of charge throughout the hotel, and there are also projectors, moderation cases, pin boards and flipcharts.
2. The most modern conference hotel in an ideal location: Emser Therme Hotel
Centrally near Koblenz, not far from the Cologne-Frankfurt ICE route and therefore within easy reach of several metropolitan regions, the new Ems theme hotel is located in the culturally rich spa town of Bad Ems. However, it is not only intended for guests of the thermal baths, but also offers three bright conference rooms, which offer the possibility for well-organized work meetings and a relaxed supporting program with the most modern equipment.
Working efficiently with the latest technology
On the ground floor of the modern four-star hotel, which, like the neighboring thermal baths, is run by the renowned Stuttgarter Office 4a architects, its three rooms are 50, 100 or 150 square meters and can accommodate five to 100 people. Thanks to sliding walls, which are adorned with large-format photos with different motifs, the rooms can be easily transformed into a large one.
Efficient work allows equipment with the latest Technology from mobile 65-inch multifunction displays to guest laptops with cameras, sound systems and free WiFi; comfortable chairs and tables in elegant black can be arranged as required in a U-shape, circle, parliamentary, block, square and large table plus lounge area with armchairs, floor lamps and side tables.
Culinary, equipment and environment
Floor-to-ceiling glazing in the direction of the Lahn provides plenty of daylight that promotes concentration, and a green strip in front of it makes it possible to stay outside. All rooms form a closed conference area, which is accessible from the entrance hall via a 70 square meter foyer. Parquet flooring, a black ceiling, in which golden indentations with indirect lighting are embedded, as in other places on the ground floor, and cupboards with sliding doors covered with dark blue velvet fabric and structured with buttons, give the business area a high-quality, homely ambience.
Under the motto "Work. Life. BalanceThe hotel's own catering with snacks, lunch and/or dinner in a separate area of the restaurant completes the offer. The Skylounge on the fifth floor of the hotel, which offers a panoramic view of Bad Ems and the Lahn Valley, is the ideal meeting point for an informal conclusion to a conference. The well-kept parks of Bad Ems and its historical buildings such as the baroque bathing castle, the fountain hall or the casino are ideal for a walk or a guided tour of the city. They are also located in the east of Bad Kissingen directly on the banks of the Lahn and are reminiscent of the eventful past of the "Kaiserbad", which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2021 as part of the eleven "Great Spas of Europe".
Health as a framework program
For overnight guests who can stay in one of the 84 double rooms of the Emser ThermenHotel, there are other possibilities to round off the conference with an additional program: connected to the hotel via a bathrobe walkway, the neighboring Emser Therme is on 6.600 square meters with thermal landscape, sauna park, wellness gallery and FitnessPanorama under the motto "Welcome to well-being";
Relaxation highlights are the warm thermal water in different indoor and outdoor pools as well as Germany's first panoramic sauna on a river. The picturesque palaces, castles and wine-growing towns of the Middle Rhine Valley or the famous Limes, which the Romans built more than 2.000 years ago as a protective wall for you, are worth a trip Rich buildings. good for Teambuilding are joint activities such as canoeing, golfing or forest bathing; matching Measures for more togetherness are put together with a cooperation partner of the hotel.
3. Modern business comfort with city view: The Hyperion Munich
The Hyperion Hotel Munich, which opened in 2019, is located not far from Prinzregentenplatz in the newly built “Bogenhausener Tor” building complex. The “Bavaria Towers” consist of four towers with a front ground floor and a gently curved facade.
Room and location of the hotel
It's just under four kilometers to the city center, by tram you can get to the main train station in about 30 minutes, the exhibition grounds can be reached by car in less than ten minutes and the hotel has 130 parking spaces, a charging station for e-cars and selected ones Trade fairs, a trade fair shuttle.
The hotel has 341 rooms, which on the upper floors offer a fantastic view of Munich and - when the weather is clear - a view of the Alps. In addition, it offers business-typical comfort such as WiFi and refinements such as underfloor heating and lighting that goes on under the bed when you get up at night, and the room service robot Jess, which independently and automatically delivers drinks and snacks on request.
Restaurants and function rooms
Two restaurants, the Palatinate and the Zirbelstube, provide 250 seats for physical enjoyment, the breakfast has a good one selection. There is also a well-equipped fitness area.
The whole thing is complemented by a spacious conference area with around 700 m² and six event rooms with a total of around 440 square meters. All in all, a pleasant, well-equipped hotel that is also very convincing in terms of service.
4. Urban design meets Spanish hospitality: INNSiDE by Meliá in Berlin Mitte
Urban design meets Spanish hospitality - that is the motto of the stylish INNSiDE by Meliá in Berlin Mitte. The location alone is ideal: Directly in Berlin Mitte, 1 km from the main train station and easily accessible by tram, with direct connections to the airport and the public transport network. And only 2 km away are the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, Checkpoint Charlie, Museum Island and many other popular sights in the city.
Hip design, professional equipment
As soon as you step into the hotel you will find yourself in the openly designed, elegant lobby bar and lounge as well as right next to the Crafterie restaurant. The restaurant as well as the lobby and bar have a trendy, industrial and casual design, which at the same time manages to maintain a cozy and inviting ambience.
This is also reflected in the 400 square meter Meeting- and event area on the ground floor: The six multifunctional and flexible conference rooms can be combined with each other and are equipped with the latest technology such as light, sound and projection, which is provided by a partner company. Additional services such as a translation service can also be booked on request. There are also 34 parking spaces and a TESLA Destination Charging Station available in the underground car park.
Culinary and relaxation
The rooms are not large, but offer enough space and are equipped with an espresso machine. There is unlimited, free WiFi throughout the hotel. There are also rooms available for disabled guests, which can be requested depending on occupancy.
The restaurant offers modern, German crossover cuisine and attaches great importance to regional products, drawing its inspiration from the Combination of atmosphere, design and good cuisine. This can also be felt at the well-chosen but wholesome breakfast that offers hot and cold dishes, fresh fruit, coffee, various types of tea or, on request, special egg dishes.
You can relax in the Finnish sauna on the top floor of the hotel with a relaxation area on a small terrace. The hotel also offers a fitness room with modern equipment (cardio machines, weights, stretching). Both can be used 24 hours a day.
5. Dignified MICE location in a central location: The Waldorf Astoria Berlin
The Waldorf Astoria Berlin is a solid event location in a central location in the western part of the city. If you want to avoid surprises, this is also right for larger events. The atmosphere is different; even the new Romanesque café can not change this impression.
Rooms, meetings, seminars and conferences
The Waldorf Astoria Berlin, which belongs to the Hilton Group, is located centrally in the western part of the city between the Zoological Garden and Kufürstendamm. It has 152 deluxe guest rooms, 59 of which have panoramic views, and 80 individually designed suites with views of Berlin.
For meetings, seminars and conferences, a ballroom and five function rooms are available on the second floor of the hotel. Depending on the seating and event the rooms are suitable for between 10 and 350 persons:
The John Jacob Astor ballroom can accommodate up to 350 or in row seating 235 guests. In addition to a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, he has a professionally equipped stage.
Salons and terrace
In honor of the Waldorf-Astoria New York, smaller venues are designated as salons named after the famous streets and neighborhoods of Manhattan. In addition, salons such as Lexington and Madison Avenue can be combined to accommodate up to 110 guests in row seating.
The event terrace on the sixth floor with views over the city can accommodate up to 200 guests. Anyone who books the terrace for an event automatically gets the ballroom - if the weather changes suddenly. In summer, the terrace is open from 17 clock to open end for external guests and network meetings.
As a special location, the library in 15. Floor also with beautiful views over Berlin rented. However, there is space for no more than 30 persons. The library thus fulfills the function of an executive lounge normally used for Hilton hotels, which is also open to guests and is open daily from 17 to 22.
Any kind of equipment for office work and events can be rented locally for an additional charge - in the Business Center in the 2. Floor. The equipment takes over conference equipment KFP. These include projector, laptop, sound system and the like. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel at an additional cost.
Of course, there are also printers and printers in the business center Internet-ports for laptops. It also offers six versatile rooms suitable for meetings and small conferences.
The hotel has 4 dining options: The main restaurant “Les Solistes by Pierre Gagnaire”, in which the rich Waldorf breakfast and a la carte dinner are served, the Romanisches Café on the ground floor with a terrace facing Kantstrasse, the Lang Bar on the 1st floor. The library on the 15th floor with a fantastic view of City West and the lobby bar in Peacock Alley, right next to the Waldorf Astoria Grandfathers Clock.
I was only able to try the business lunch at Romanisches Kaffee - and wasn't impressed. Even if 18 euros is quite cheap, the food has to be measured by the expected standards of the hotel: the carrot and ginger soup was a tad too bitter, the bread was baked and the potatoes and vegetables with the roast beef steak tasted warmed up . Many Berlin snack bars offer better food. One has me however fast insuredthat various caterers are available for events.
In general, the Romanisches Café is a disappointment: in the 20th century the ultimate meeting place for Berlin artists and intellectuals, then destroyed in the war, it was reopened in 2012 in the Waldorf-Astoria. However, the new café has little in common with the historic cities it refers to, as they were located a few meters away from the Memorial Church. And there is also little resemblance to the furnishing of the original location, it lacks the flair and cosiness that one expects from such a place. No wonder that Criticism was and is violent. Even the half-hearted attempt to draw artists and intellectuals into the restaurant with literary competitions and readings will not change that.
