In my opinion, it depends on what kind of authority is meant. The natural authority works out of itself and is respected by the environment based on trust. Individuals with a natural authority are emotionally stable. An authority without this personal stability works with pressure - that only happens if there is a lack of skills. These people are "nice" as long as it is for their own benefit. Such “leadership principles”, which work with pressure, are “used up” and not sustainable in a modern, agile business world in which participation and self-determination are more required and encouraged.
